This class teaches independent back floats and rollover breathing, streamline and windmill arms, and straight leg kicking using fun games and songs. Aquababy also focuses on teaching swimmers to be safe in the water by working on a number of safety skills in a fun environment.
A program designed specifically for small children with little or no water experience. Themes and games enhance the learning to swim experience. The goal of this class is to swim seven feet with long arms that reach and pull in a large circle, and to float on the back independently.
A class for six year olds and up who do not swim. Swimmers learn a relaxed, effective stroke for swimming the width of the pool (25 feet) with long arms in a large reach and pull circle, while rollover breathing. Students will also learn to perform an independent back float.
A class for children who already swimming both freestyle with bilateral breathing and elementary backstroke. The goals for this class are competitive free, back, and breaststroke 80 feet (2 lengths of the pool).
Our adult swim classes focus on comfort and ability in the water and are not intended to produce competitive swimmers. Fear often outweighs technical inability, so we begin by focusing on comfort in the water and using tools to decrease that fear. As the swimmer’s comfort steadily improves, focus then shifts to technical training.
If you have a child whose birthday falls in a month that’s to cold for a swim party, we have the solution for you. Dolphin’s indoor heated pool is an ideal setting to enjoy the fun of the summer during the cold winter months. A classroom will also be available for opening presents and serving cake.
